On 6th February 2024, a site visit was done with the presence of related agencies including Jabatan Ketua Pengarah Tanah dan Galian (JKPTG), Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM), and our company representatives to visit the Penang South Island reclamation site.
The purpose of this visit to the Penang South Island reclamation site is to understand and monitor the progress of the site.
On 8.30 am, all the participants gather together. Before boarding ships to the site, a briefing is held.
Opening speech is done by the Group Maritime Advisor – Ybhg Laksamana Maritim Dato’ Mohd Zubil Bin Mat Som (Rtd), followed by Deputy Director General of Coordination and Operations Sector of the Department of Director General of Lands & Mines Federal (JKPTG) – Datuk Hj Mohd Haniff Bin Hassan. After that, the site safety office gave site safety briefing before site visit.
After the briefing, the attendees travelled to the site by boat. During the boat riding, the attendees discuss about the project issues while observing and monitoring the site.
At around 2pm, the site visit ends. The attendees of the site visit then had their lunch at Pen Mutiara Restaurant. Finally, this event ended with having a group photo.
